The jQuery library may have connected multiple times.
You have probably installed multiple Magento extensions, which can cause the jQuery library to connect multiple times.
Please use the Mozilla Firebug, Google Chrome development toolbar or IE development toolbar to view Scripts resources.
jQuery Slider library
The jQuery slider library is connected via Layout Update XML.
Navigate to CMS->Pages and open the page to edit.
Navigate to Design tab> Layout Update XML field.
