We use this to export orders into our internal proprietary system. Works great. Beware of the currency symbols stored in the pricing fields that you might need to strip out of the data.

This extension does exactly what it is supposed to. I needed to output a report in a hurry, of orders where tax wasn't paid. This worked perfectly once I figured out how to use it: step 1: enable in config; step 2: export from order list. These steps are shown in the screenshots but I didn't look there initially. Top marks all round even though I couldn't find the instructions.

How to check all installed in Magento extensions in the admin panel? Magento Connect extensions are special pear packages. These packages can install a file anywhere in the Magento system. An extension may contain many Modules. It may also contain arbitrary files that are not part of a module.
There's no formal place to check which modules are installed in Magento.
The Modules Manager provides an grid that lists all the modules installed on your Magento installation. It provides a number of information that can help when dealing with modules issues, specially when developping new modules
- Name of the module
- Active: based on the app/etc/modules configuration file.
- Code Pool
- Version: this is the version of the module as declared in the etc/config.xml file
- Folder path to the module files
- Whether or not the folder path exists
- Data entry: if the module interacts with the database, this will list the entry of the module under the core_resource table
- Data version: this is the data version of your module, understand the data installed via data install/upgrade scripts
- Output enable: wheter or not the output is disabled under System > Configuration > Advanced
- Path to the config file

By default, Magento allows to import/export products and customers only. Most people can find their way to the standard Export options under System -> Import/Export, but that often doesn’t produce the results they’re expecting. In addition to it, some of the stores sometimes need a very simple CSV quickly.
This small extension has been developped by Digital Pianism in order to help managers dealing with store data.
Thus, this module can be used to quickly and easily export Magento products to CSV from the catalog grid. The CSV includes the following product information:
- ID, Name, URL, Sku, Price, Special Price
- Description, short description and main image URL
- Support export for store specific data
- Supports _isAllowed method to the controller to improve security (see patch 6285)
- SUPEE-6788 compatibility
